Get Into the Halloween Spirit at Disneyland!

Halloween is one of the best times to be staying in hotels around Disneyland because all the villains come out to play. Different sections of the Halloween at DisneylandDisneyland park are re-designed to bring out the Halloween spirit in everyone. On certain nights, Mickey Mouse is hosting his own wicked Halloween party with special ticket prices including entrance to the park.

The family can take an adventure to Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland to celebrate El Dia De Los Muertos in a traditional manner. Smiling skeletons and brightly colored altars with offerings of marigolds, sugar skulls, and the favorite foods of departed ancestors will be around every corner. There will also be traditional Mexican festive music and a face-painting booth so that you can be part of the celebration.

There’s more Halloween fun at the Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree! Kids can play carnival-style games and watched pumpkin carvers perform their art. They can also make their own mask to take home and join Disney characters in a mini “mask-parade” to the music of Billy Hill and the “Haunted” Hillbillies. Another attraction is the Magic Cauldron Sideshow, but bewares—a Disney villain can be conjured before your very eyes!

One of your favorite rides, the Haunted mansion, will be the home of characters from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Jack Skellington, “Sandy Claws,” Sally, Oogie Boogie and the creepy creatures from Halloween Town will haunt the mansion for a ghoulishly good time this season.

Stroll down Main Street U.S.A. to see almost 300 unique carved pumpkins on display. Many will be modeled after Disney characters. There will also be Halloween treats and many character appearances down the road. For more information on Disneyland’s Halloween Time, click here.
